its waters as any other.  Has not Davis been here?  And [[Baffin?]] - and Ross - and Parry - and Franklin & Kane?  and thousands of others?
Davis Strait certainly is improperly named - Let me suggest that Davis Strait & Baffins Bay be called "Davis & Baffins' Sea'.  Then can its billows roll high as the heavens deck.  as the lowest depths, without our thinking it assuming to be what it is not.
About 12 O'clock, midnight, I went upon deck & bid farewell to "Greenland's icy mountains" - & to - [[underlined]]My Suppers[[/underlined]] "Perpetual Motion"!  Why has the world been so long in seeking out so simple a problem?  Ask me - poor Sea-sick - me, if I believe in Perpetual Motion?  Yes! of course I do, & so would any man of [[underlined]]profound [[/underlined]] sense.  A ship at sea is [[underlined]] perpetually [[/underlined]] jumping
