Down to office + work over Bendeleben's pictures. Send records to office. Work over charts and write letters. P.M. Play crib with Mrs. Elmer + attend Mrs. Otis' reception to the Duke of Genoa.

Wednesday Jan 14
Down to office, see Herendeen - work over store list. Get photos. P.M. Take books to the Brannans + call on Miss Noyes

Thursday Jan 15
Down to office Day gloomy + SE ly. Work at office, write Lee + Shepard - P.M. Call on Stearns. Strong S.E gale

Friday Jan 16
Down to Navy Pay master about Hospital. See Capt. Hall who brings in fossils & Herendeen also Hospital man. Weather squally. Go down town Get extras of Bacon. Back to office P.M. Call at Capt. Noyes & the Brannans Noyes gets back.
