Rains & blows hard all day. move the vessel in a little closer under the shelter of the bluff. Work over notes, computations & map.

Tuesday June 23
Cloudy & foggy with a little rain. Take the boat and go up to the NW bight and take a series of of observations to sketch the shoreline, return by 3 P.M. After supper having cleared a little get underway but wind failing have to anchor again on the outside of the harbor. Foggy at night.

Wednesday June 24
Cloudy with fresh SW wind and some fog. Take some bearings in the Bay, and stand off shore for the lighthouse Rocks. Get some bearings, and altitudes for time to fix their position. Run them down about 6 P.M. There are 4 small & one large trending Se & NW, covered with sea lions. Stand away from there for the [[pen'a?]] as the weather is boisterous

Reach Mitrophania Id in A.M. Weather unsettled, wind fresh squally Cloudy with some fog. We do not find any deep indentation in the land such as is indicated on the chart. The two small islands are nearer Mitrophania & large.
A rock awash is on with the [[humanocky?]] point beyond W by S 1/2 S and with the NE end of Mitrophania Id SE by S. We saw discolored water indicating another rock near Midchannel with [[Hummnot?]] Pt bearing W 1/2 S but could not
