Cloudy. Wind light. A.M. at work on report. Alexander arrived from St. Paul. Get a pkge left here a year ago or so by some vessel. containing 1 barometer & three thermometers, one broken, and a few old letters and papers. Write to Baird & Davidson. P.M. Atka [[Deacon?]] aboard to supper. Capt Love in P.M. Go ashore and call on Shanfelt.

Wednesday July 15
A.M. working over letters. Cloudy foggy. Capt H. goes fishing. P.M. go on the beach on the W side of Amaknak. Rainy. Accounts in Evening. & letters.

Thursday July 16
Finish accounts and letters. Go ashore for a short time. Send collections ashore in the storehouse. P.M. go up with Wagner & try and find a reported rock in Dutch Harbor. without success. Ashore in evening. Day cloudy foggy, high squalls in P.M. rest of day wind light.

Friday July 17
Morning cloudy foggy. wind light. work over current computations. P.M. obs. for time. Evening go ashore & play crib with Col Wood. Fill water.

Saturday July 18
Morning get corresponding altitudes for time. Finish filling water. Set up Keystone & Roundtop signals on the tripod plan painting the lattice white and using no cloth P.M. go ashore & call on Col Wood

Sunday July 19
Cloudy, light wind first SE then in P.M. SW with fog. The Schr. Sutton with Hennig on board comes in from Ugashik R. Bristol Bay. Finish up letters and go ashore. Off to lunch. Mr Thomas of the Sutton aboard to [[Umak?]]. He tells me
