Egg [[image - rounded shape]]. Upper surface round or elliptical [[/blue strikethrough]] with a [[concative?]] groove, white smooth stained by the brown froth in an angular [[?]] corresponding to meeting of bubbles Shell rather thick, opaque, pearly inside. Laid alone together on rounded end in a layered columnar mass forming a broad band around 1/2 way round a small twig Froth rather light brown, with shiny continuous surface [[blue checkmark]] [[underlined]] Hatched [[overwritten]] 1 [[/overwritten]] Mar 20 [[/underlined]] Hd rounded shiny black w. .4 mm Body black, not shiny, marked by a double row of minute orange dots S-d. Hair nearly white, quite thick curving forward d. and back s-v; rather coarse. A narrow pale lat. [[insertion]] s-v [[/insertion]] line. Tips of ^ [[insertion]] ant [[/insertion]] feet pale. Later the middle ^ [[insertion]] of [[/insertion]] abd. [[strikethrough]] segs are [[/strikethrough]] is marked [[segmentally?]] with reddish, divided by a black d. line. A s-v pale band. Made large arch.

[[?]] in line s-v? very obscure The s-d orange patches, distinct only 5-10 [[image - triangular shape representing s-d patch]] [[image label]] post [[/image label]] wider ant, and post; but widest [[blue strikethrough]] post retracted centrally and divided by a main dark d.-line. A distinct black [[/blue strikethrough]] wart is situated at the narrowest part bearing several pale hairs. (1)? and there is a small & bare spot in the widest part of orange band (2)? There is one ant. above [[circled]] 4 [[/circled]]? and one just below [[circled]] 5 [[/circled]]? in the pale s-v region, apparently normal but obscure [[underlined]] Molt [[overwritten]] 2 [[/overwritten]] Apr 1 [[/underlined]] Beneath gray with a series of ventral blackish spots ^ [[insertion]] later black [[/insertion]] Hd black, base of antena whitish hair whitish; w. .6 mm. Body black with a narrow straight reddish ad-dorsal line slightly spreading at the ant & post edge of each segment, absent at the extremities A white stigmatal? [[insertion]] SV [[/insertion]] line and fainter lateral [[insertion]] S-S [[/insertion]] one. D. hair reddish, s-v paler. Seg. [[markers?]] pale, giving a banded appearance when body is bent. Tips of abd feet pale. There are now some short hairs from the skin dorsally as well as lat., but the warts lat could not be made out in last stage. [[blue checkmark]]
