Eggs of [[underlined]] C. quadricornis [[/underlined]] laid by ragged [[female symbol]], Plattsburgh June 1894 Elliptical, flattened on two sides smooth, light green  not shiny 1.8 x 1.6 x 1.4 mm under 1/2 in faintly reticular by rather close obscure round depression, the whole faintly granular like ground glass.
[[underlined]] Hatched June 20 [[/underlined]] Segs distinctly 8-annulate no c-sh no anal plate. Setae simple, no secondary ones, short straight, glandular with very slightly enlarged round tips, i and ii in line on annulets 3 and 6, iii super stig. on ann 4., one ant to spiracle on ann 2; 1 just below spiracle two in line on folds above base of leg, 1 on leg, and one inside ant same on legless segs. vii seem to be rather widely separated by s-v foldings.
