Eggs on elm in batches of 2, 3 and 4 on under side of leaf, Jefferson High lands July 18 1895. Rather more than hemisphere with flat base. Not shiny whitish yellow. Diam 1 mm, height .7 mm. Reticulation small, linear, rather elongate, irregularly hexagonal much smaller toward [[muciopyle?]] where there is an almost smooth area surrounding a very slight prominence or all smooth. [[underlined]] Hatched July 24 [[/underlined]] and ran to tip of teeth or end of [[?]]. Rushed past [[?]] off the end. Hd. feet and c-ch blackish. A d spot on 5 [[overwritten]] 6 [[/overwritten]] & 12 and some on 4, 6 & 10 brownish red. Anal feet paler, 5 & 12 a little enlarged d. Setae distinct, dark.
