8th April 1943. 

A fine day, but practically no sun after 10 AM., Westerly wind, increasing in afternoon, but no rain or showers:  mild.

Went by 2.25 bus (from Rathgar) to Marlay & went up glen on W. side of Golf Links, across shelter belt in middle of links to lake, round lake & back to bus by road.

1 = glen on W. side of links, along Whitechurch road.
2 = shelter belt across links to old stables & particularly near stables.
3 = S.W. side of lake, by path.

Plenty of Chiff chaffs & heard one Willow Warbler near garden.

Hemiteles bicolorinus group? or Pezomachus  1♂︎, ant. 24.  
Apanteles fulvipes group  ♂︎
Earinius tuberculatus?  ♂︎, ant. 34.
Euphorus pallidistigma?  ♂︎ & ♀︎, ant. both 16 at Alexanders
Aspilota nigrescens  1♀︎, ant. 18, very nice specimens, under trees at edge of golf links
Dacnusa areolaris group.  3♂︎♂︎, 2♀︎♀︎ (1 each mtd.) ant. ♂︎ 24, ♀︎ 21.  ♂︎ cf. tibialis miki, ♀︎ = areolaris
Aphidius urticae?  ♀︎, yellow base to antennae;  small & dark 18-seg.
A. pascuorum?  9♂︎♂︎, black legs:  2 mtd;  ant. 18 & 19.

Aspilota nigrescens  2♂︎♂︎, one with much darker legs than the other, ant. 22 and 23/24, but I think both these species.
