Oncophanes lanceolator?  ♂︎, very small, ant. 22.
Apanteles lineipes?  ♀︎, long terebra.
Euphorus similis  1 ant. 16.
Alloea contracta  3♂︎♂︎.
Aspilota rufifemur  ♀︎, very red legs, ant. 20.
Daenusa longiradialis  3♂︎♂︎
D. "areolaris"?  ♂︎♂︎ common.
Monoctonus caricis  ♂︎.
Aphidius sp. fuscous legs; several ♂︎♂︎. 
Chalcid 1, same sp. as at 1.
Cynipids common; not taken.

29th April 1943.
A nice soft day, but mainly dull with SE-SW jam:  slight drizzle at times.
At 5.30 P.M. saw a ☿ (worker!) Bombus jonellus on flowers of Mediterranean Heath in back garden at 14 Clareville Rd.  Still at work at 7:30 P.M.
Also saw ♂︎ Large White Butterfly in Kildare St. at 11.30 AM.

Hemiteles  ♂︎ taken in house, 14 Clareville Rd. Harold's Cross, DU.


2nd May 1943. 

A perfect day, all sunny (& very hot sun!) after a misty morning, but with strong keen E. breeze;  siilar to the previous day.

In forenoon spent half an hour in back garden before dinner & saw or took the following:-

Bombus lapidarius  ♀︎ seen - the only bumble.
Andrena jacobi ♂︎ & Halictus albipes ♀︎.
Odynerus pictus ♂︎ at tub & motor house corner.
Pimpla instigator  both ♂︎ & ♀︎ seen.
P. oculatoria  ♂︎ & ♀︎ at White Currant.
Homocidus pictus group  ♂︎♂︎ seen for 1st time this year in garden.
= H. longiventris  ♂︎.
H. subopaca?  ♂︎ & a smaller ♂︎, similar, but size of pictus with subopaque disc of mesonotum.

2.5.43, Afternoon.
After dinner rode to Clondalkin & worked up the Grand Canal as in previous years.  Still very hot sun & cool E. breeze, till we left for home at 5 P.M., dull later with cloud from N.N.W.
