30.5.1943!
On this day Ivan M. Goodbody captured hiding under cap of "Horse Mushroom" on Flagstaff Hill, Killney, Co. Dublin, 2♀︎♀︎ of a Phaenocarpa which I don't recognise. A.W.S. See Nixon's letter of 17.2.1945. He also thought it new!! but on again examining it it looks very like Ph. pratellae Hal. with terebra withdrawn into abodomen in drying, but is this possible? Also it is very black for pratellae! AWS. 22.2.1945.
