18th Aug. 1943.

A dull, soft, very warm day with S.W. wind (fairly strong breeze!) but no sun; nearly raining at times but no rain fell, till 6 P.M., when a few spots in Glenasmole.

In morning set insects! In afternoon we rode to Glenasmole, arriving at head of upper reservoir about 4 P.M. Collected there for about an hour in perfect conditions & then under trees & in swampy place between Moore's garden & river. Left there about 6.30, passing the lower dam at 6.40 & home at 7.9 with wind behind us.
