helpful in guiding the Korean scientists in preparing their individual projects and then unifying these projects into a meaningful overall plan. 

I hope that there will be no further difficulty from the North Koreans who infiltrate across the DMZ. We must use every possible caution to avoid mortality to the limited pool of scientific talent in Korea. It would be bad publicity for our project if someone were killed while doing field work. Moreover, it would jeopardize our opportunity for obtaining research funds from a major granting agency. I know that you will be discreet and careful in sending out the Korean  
scientists to the DMZ study area.
