Dear Dr. Buechner

I am replying to your request to have Dr. Kim available for a mission to Lorea during the month of January, 1967. I shall have no difficulty in making arrangements here for Dr. Kim to be away from the campus during January, 1967. Our Dean and other administrative officers are in Washington, where they are attending the annual Land Grant College meeting. If you do not hear from me by phone on Tuesday, November 22, you can assume that we have their approval upon their return. Dr. Kim has not taken the month's vacation for which he is eligible so I have no doubt about the approval being granted.

We are pleased that Dr. Kim will have the chance to assist you in the development of your program. Needless to say, we also are pleased to learn that he will have the opportunity to visit his homeland after a long absence.

Sincerely yours,
