Hodson Head, Department of Entomology, Fisheries, and Wildlife University of Minnesota St. Paul, Minnesota 55101 Dear Dr. Hodson: I would like to enlist your cooperation in helping to make it possible for Dr. Ke Chung Kim to spend the month of January 1967 in Korea to assist with the development of a joint Smithsonian-Korean program in ecology. Dr. Kim's mission is explained in the accompanying letter to Dr. Savely which resulted in an increment in the project budget, in the full amount requested, to enable Dr. Kim to spend one month in Korea. On the basis of my visit to Korea last September and subsequent discussions with Dr. Kim, I feel that Dr. Kim can contribute substantially to the success of the project. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide Dr. Kim with a leave of absence for the month of January 1967 to enable him to make the trip to Korea. If you require additional information, please do nor hesitate to write or telephone me collect. Sincerely yours, [[signed]] Helmut K. Buechner [[/signed]] Helmut K. Buechner Head.
