countries, the modern science museum can render many services related to the conservation of natural environment and the preservation of cultural traditions; in dissemination of public information about the meaning of science and technology and the impact of science and technology on the lives of the people; in instructing students in the methods and application of science through exhibits of real objects, three-demensional exhibits, and teaching aids, supplementing classroom instruction from textbooks; as well as supplying the support of basic research in natural sciences and cultural history which museum collections provide.
     In Korea with its rapid and impressive development, public understanding of industry, mining, fisheries, manufacturing, agriculture, and construction, is essential.  Museums provide information and instruction on these vital subjects for all ages and all levels of education.
     Recognizing the importance of science and technology to the development and benefit of Korea; the necessity to stimulate and incourage research and better science education at all levels; the impact of rapid cultural and environmental change; and the vital need for conservation; it is recommended that the Korean National Science Museum Center be developed as described below.
