We were interested to learn that the number of students currently enrolled in schools in Seoul is estimated at over 894,000. Total students in the entire nation exceeds 6,000,000. Also to be considered as potential museum visitors would be 79,000 teachers. It is the considered opinion of the Korean members of the meetings that at least 20% of this total will visit the museum each year. Patterns of student field trips in Korea are much like those in the United States. Schools in the outlying regions have a program of visiting Seoul and its cultural attractions at least once a year.
Visitors to the museum will be transported largely by bus or train. This especially applies to student visitors. Students from the more distant areas of the nation stay several days in Seoul, so bringing the student visitor to the museum and returning him the same day is not a problem. Visitors from the metropolitan area will have easy access to the museum via bus or street car.

This concludes the consensus report of the meeting. It is recommended that this report be the basis for the draft of a proposal requesting grants of funds in aid of the panning study. This proposal hopefully would interest appropriate granting agencies or foundations to support the study. The meeting believes that the study will require about a year for completion.
Upon submission of the report to the full advisory panel of the conference, it was approved unanimously.
