wildlife science, conservation, geology, mineralogy, paleontology, meteorology and related disciplines. The Institute will publish regular reports and monographs, exchange information with foreign countires, and also provide basic information for research workers in educational, governmental and private organizations.
   
The Institute would be organized within a clearly independent, non-profit corporate framework, to aid programs and research projects of scientists, universities, government agencies and private organizations related to agriculture, fisheries, conservation, science and technology. The Institute would also directly cooperate, collaborate, and aid programs of other research organizations. The primary goal of the Institute is to collect, to store, and to disseminate basic information on the natural resources of Korea, to train research an survey workers, and to conduct long-term surveys and research on important elements of the Korean resources for achieving a self-sufficient food production, a well-balanced and rich economy, and for developing Korean science and technology.

The Institute may be organized as a division or a sister institute of the Institute of Science and Technology or of the Proposed National Science Museum Center. Direction of the "Institute of Natural Resources" would be exercised by the President and an independent Board of Trustees composed of experienced professional leaders in government, industry and scientific community, and should be completely independent of any outside influence.
