8. [[underlined]]Objectives[[/underlined]]

The first phase of the project to develop a Korean National Science Museum is a year-long planning study designed to produce a detailed description of the scope, size priorities, time schedules, and estimates of costs of all programs and facilities of the of the science museum center of costs of all programs and facilities of the science museums center project determined to be immediately required by and coordinated with the scientific, educational, and cultural needs of the Republic of Korea. 

9. [[underlined]]Procedure [[/underlined]]

The Co-Director of the study (Mr. Patterson) will establish an office and planning center in Seoul, Korea, as requested by the Minister of Education. The Co-Director will plan, organize, and supervise the planning study as his full-time occupation. He will organize the study to be conducted by a group of Korean scientists, educators, and officials, with the part-time assistance of scientific, technical, and administrative specialists of the United States Operating Missions in Korea and the Regional Science Affairs Office in Tokyo, Japan. The Ministry of Education will furnish office space and expenses, a Korean administrative assistant-interpreter, and a clerk-stenographer. 

The structure of the planning study will include three or more task-force groups each of which will focus on an element of the museum center project, such as the science teaching center building, including
