The Washington office manned by an assistant to the Co-Director and his clerical assistant will coordinate requests for information, obtain descriptions, reports, and advice on the programs of established museums comparable to the elements being planned. The office will assemble and forward to Seoul plans of museum buildings, details of museum organization and management, and the costs of equipment and exhibits. The office will make arrangements for the services of consultants. It will maintain liaison with interested  Federal offices, private institutions, and foundations. It will circulate progress reports and plans as they are produced in Seoul to museum specialists and educators for critical advice and recommendation. The salaries and expenses of the Washington Office will be supported by grants from foundations.
