motion picture film so that we can eventually put together a 15- to 30-minute film on the project. I will be glad to contribute to this effort financially, if needed. The additional film will be strictly for the Smithsonian, not for NBC.

Before Christmas I plan to have a report on our September visit to Korea with profuse illustrations.

I talked with Ke Chung Kim on the phone this morning. He plans to make his trip to Korea during the month of January with his family. The enclosed copy of his letter of 31 October to me explains matter in more detail. I personally think that Dr. Kim can help immeasurably in formulating the 5-year plan.

Incidentally, I have been thinking of a possible need for an extension of 6 months to a year on the Air Force project with additional funding for that period of time in the event that we are unable to obtain support from a foundation prior to mid-October next year. Now that we are over the first hurdle, I think it is reasonable to expect additional support from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research to continue the project until we can obtain financial support for the 5-year period.

I hope that all is going well with you and your family. Give my best regards to Aura.

Sincerely yours,

Helmut K. Buechner
