Department of Zoology
Seoul National University
Seoul, Korea

Dear Dr. Kang:

The enclosed contract, which you must sign and return to me, and the budget statement are self-explanatory, I hope these financial arrangements are satisfactory to you.

Many of us here at the Smithsonian Institution are looking forward to your visit. I hope that this initial contact will lead to a long-range relationship in research and education between the National University of Seoul and the Smithsonian.

We have made reservations for you to stay at the Cosmos Club during the first three weeks of June as a guest of Dr. Lee M. Talbot, the Smithsonian representative on ecology and conservation for the International Biological Program.

When you know your schedule, please let me have your time of arrival (including airport, airline, and flight number) in Washington.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to write.

Sincerely yours,

Helmut K. Buechner
Assistant Director (Ecology)
Museum of Natural History
