(4) Wildlife Conservation

Emphasizing again that wildlife conservation problem in Korea is extremly urgent one, I am calling here on this occasion for mutual cooperation among the neighboring countries. Due to the Second World War and Korean conflict, almost the whole Korean land was turned into battle-ground and extremely devastated.

Under this worse situation indiscriminate cutting of forestry further deprived wildlife of their habitats. Meanwhile, an indiscreet application of the imported stimulant insecticides brought forth secondary damage to the environment of wildlife.

The indiscriminate capture of wildlife by human population resulted in the considerable reduction of the natural population of wildlife. It is deplorable that such violations as listed below are still in wide practice.
