6 - The per diem rate of $7.50 used for time spent in the field in the Buffer Zone is a reduction from the officially approved $11. rate due to the longer time periods involved (beyond four days).  Individuals can secure lodging and meals on more favorable terms for longer time periods.  The source of the rate is Dr. Kang, the Co-Principal Investigator.
