Western Union Telegraph Union - Report of J.H. Robinson to Richard J. Bush, June 27, 1867

About the Project

What would you do in the face of a blinding snowstorm? J. H. Robinson knew his party would be lost if they abandoned their Siberian field station. It was 1867, at the tail end of the Western Union Telegraph Expedition's efforts to survey a route for a trans-Pacific telegraph cable. Despite the weather, Robinson and his team still had their assignment. Please help us transcribe this report and learn what scientific knowledge was gained by their efforts. Your contributions help to make this information more accessible and searchable for all.
