She confessed it to me the other day. The man is a chiropracter you know. She's his second wife. The children are not hers. June [[underline]]4[[/underline]] All I want to do is talk about the heat! Really & truly we're just about crazy! Absolutely no relief. I'd welcome the [[underline]]worst[[/underline]] kind of a thunder storm. For the first week in June it's unheard of. I know I shouldn't have sent the boy to school to-day but it's awful to have him at home too. He won't stay out of the sun. The kitchen thermometer registers 94 this minute. The insurance man was just here and really he frightened me. He just sank into a chair and didn't say a word. I brought cold water to him and after a time he felt better but I know he shouldn't [[^go]] right out into the sun again. I wish I had the boy home again. Where's that cool summer? June 6 -- Still the same heat - one whole week
