your mother and Thelma got home last night. They had a very nice week and were lucky to be away from here.

Tuesday morn.

Well, the long looked for storm came at last and naturally it was a whopper. The worst hail storm I've ever seen hails stones the size of a pecan.  My poor petunias were broken to pieces. Terrific lightning and the fire siren blew three times so I guess it struck several times. This all happened last night so I haven't heard any reports yet. One flash of lightning was awful. It cracked in the room like a shot and sister jumped up and yelled that she'd been struck in her stomach. I hope to get a letter from Grandma to-day.
