Everybody is terribly disappointed that you will not be back on the first of April as you at first intended, if you stay away much longer you will be gone a whole year. Alvina told me to tell you that she received your telegram right after she had written and sealed her letter to you and that she was too mad at the news it contained to open her letter again and mention it. I'm sorry you are encountering such cold weather down there but I suppose that is to be expected being so far south. Here the trees are all getting green and all the early flowers are in bloom.
