Erwin received an appointment to the Bureau of Standards for a $900 job but his chief expects to fix him up in his present office where he seems to be doing well so far. He still hasn't heard from the last examination. Sometimes I think I've bitten off more than I can chew in regards to him. Not entirely his fault either I'm not just equal to it now.

I shellaced my floors last night. They've never been so bare. If I'm destined to stay here do you think we can rebuild this summer? The car will be paid for also the other two obligations amounting to twenty five a month. How big a loan would we need? Why can't we rebuild the [[underlined]]whole business[[/underlined]] at once? I want the living room fixed up too. So! There! Or do [[underlined]]that[[/underlined]] side first!

If the bedrooms were put on the south side they'd be lots pleasanter.
