Areas of rice field near cement bridge
immediately adjoin sloughs and will
certainly be open to attack by ducks.
About 500 sprigs lying in them and 
others coming in. If birds get
started in field will do damage
without question. Undoubtedly moth 
will be serious on this fall.
At present each rice is only [[?]]
into milk and is not attractive
to ducks though they are 
working in the rice fields for the
abundant aquatic inserts and
the suds of "water grass". grain
will be hard about Sept. 10 [[m]].
One dead [[?]] flying from south
stomach contained dragonfly and ground.
Burrowing out [[?]] , young
able to fly standing about [[?]]. Four
[[Hen]] grouped at one place. Two in
once fence post, One brushed off as they
flew. Stand close together about 
touching.
