CITATION TO ACCOMPANY THE PRESENTATION OF THE AIR WAR COLLEGE DIPLOMA TO
MANILA D. TALLEY

Lieutenant Colonel Manila D. Talley distinguished herself by the commendable achievement of successfully completing the Air War College Correspondence Program, from December 1964 to December 1966. During this time she was required to devote from eight to ten hours a week to reading, writing, and research. Her desire to further her knowledge and understanding is reflected in the fact that she was one of the first four women to enter the course. Previous to this she successfully completed the Army Air Corps Officers Reserve Course and other related courses, which reflects her ardent desire for accomplishments over and above the call of duty. She served as an Intelligence Officer in the Civil Air Patrol during World War II and has served as Information Officer for many years. The distinctive accomplishments of Lieutenant Colonel Talley reflect credit upon herself and the United States Air Force.
