peculiar. I want to go in every store and buy it all out. I'm terribly childish about spending money- I don't want to know the value of it - and I don't want to be democratic, and I want to be popular - and to be appreciated. John never answered my letter. I wish he would.

The fifty cents I spent two hours making we ate up in ten minutes last nite. It doesn't seem possible.

I must get a job.

Helen Jo is in Montana. She may come back by here she says. I want to talk to her.

July 28.

I spoiled my breakfast this morning trying to drink my coffee black. I wish I could. Jay drinks his that way.

I did finally get a job in the bakery dept. of a big market. Alice was in the Cashier's Office. We worked a little over a week. I hated it - I finally got so I smiled affably at anyone regardless of time - We were fired. I don't know why, but we wanted to go to Cheyenne & see the roundup anyway. The Adam's had been nice to us. John Jr. [[overwrite]] had [[/overwrite]] a ΦΓΔ from Columbia have been taking us to dances at Alitches and Rock Rest John is a darling dancers.
