Fryday Jan; 8th 1886.

It was a cold day today, I went to school. We played "spat" at recess. I got my lessons good today. It dident take me long to get home this evening, and then I got real cold. Tommy Carter came here this evening. Calvin and him are gone to the pond to skate. After getting my lesson, I went to bed.

Saturday, Jan. 9.th 1886.
I worked most of the forenoon. This afternoon I pasted some pictures in my scrapbook, then I tried to slide down the hill but the snow was to deep. It has been a stormy day today. Snow is a foot deep. I was invited to a taffy-pulling at Maggie Bollwig[[guess]] today, but it was to stormy,
