Dear folks,

I went out to Stoughton for a few hours Saturday and found Grandma, as you said, rather lonlier than usual.  The bulbs had not come.  I found skirts, etc, all right.  I couldn't stay overnight as I had a date with a law student I met at the law school acquaintance dance a few days ago: a boy from Western, Ben Nickson: rather [[strikethrough]] tal [[/strikethrough]] too talkative, but well-mannered, understanding of women & good-natured.  (We went to a movie).

You knew I knew a girl at the +H called Virginia Betts, didn't you?  She was rather pretty, tho', & pleasant.  What is Mrs Willis going to do now?  Please give her my regards if she is not gone.

No, I haven't seen Bill & do not expect to.

Alice Joseph reminds me somewhat of Miss Deickmann: she is a large, vigorous, tremendously kind & responsive woman.  Seeing her is a
