Dear folks,

You are not likely to hear about the chair - I haven't. She may not notice, or she may be harboring it -- but she doesn't seem particularly talkative about either of you. She sits in the black rocker mostly, and a good deal in the kitchen, as she minds the cool weather.

You'll remember to send my brush?

No word from Anna.

I am forwarding a bill from Barrons.

I called on the Blanc's, but Leon has [[strikethrough]] been [[/strikethrough]] had an operation (minor: a cyst) and won't be up for a week or two, when his wife promised he would come over. I wonder if she has adopted Penny? who is now 4 and runs all around the neighborhood with a little girl her age.

I have not been in to Cambridge again until tomorrow [[strikethrough]] or Friday [[/strikethrough]], as I recalled books which have not yet come in: Mr Garis will take some out for me. On Monday I went.
