Dear folks,

About 8 inches of snow developed yesterday; I can't [[strikethrough]] work [[/strikethrough]] track it down any farther than New York. As such, the long blue shadows on it this morning parallel the long streaks of blue in the sky.

I was motioned by Anne (maid) to the table this morning for your package. I do not know how long it would have lain there. It is [[strikethrough]] love [[/strikethrough]] cheerful & goes well with my blue shirt. The arms are, if anything too long. Thank you!

Do you remember that Paul Nerrick I once went to lunch with because I couldn't duck it? (Law) He hung himself last night. He was really too unhappy to go on living. I never should have been able to if I had been as uneasy as he. That is the second suicide this spring at Harvard.

On this happy note I shall get back to work

Love
Doris
