biggest wad came bartending, when he made $55 a week. HE's saved $1200, & so will I have by the end of the summer. At present it appeals to use it on Europe as you suggested, but I'm not quite sure how. It is such a temptation to do some Friends' or Unitarians' work at a camp for 8 weeks; they give you 2 weeks [[strikethrough]] f [[/strikethrough]] traveling time too; - the feeling of doing something constructive is great. Betty (of work) did it once; she & her husband-when-he-is will perhaps jointly direct a camp there. It is construction or child work; it wasn't too hard for her, altho' she got fat on bread; & she took two weeks of touring Italy! I wish Maria could do it with me: with her knowledge of Fine Arts (she majors in) we could have a valuable time in Italy. Well, that is about as high as our planes fly. I hope there will be something for me to do if I go, anyway, for it would be rather sad just to look. Also, half Harvard & Radcliffe will be there doing similar things, it will be quite homey. Duffy will go this summer, Jane perhaps too. Well, off to work.

Love,
Doris
