FEBRUARY 13
FRIDAY

Started Dec. 14. I have pd. back to Dad 40c in last four weeks, saved 10c per week by [[but]] only get 5c worth at [[church?]] (25 cents spent per week + getting 15c allowance + per week. I owe only $.57. So now I stayed home because I have the grip. Fair. I felt awful my back ached all day. I knitted 10 rows of brown. Mother sent my washcloth to Grandma. I got a valentine from Bobby Williams (girl who I play with who lives across the street -- 11 years old.)

SATURDAY

Fair. I felt better-have no ache but have cough. I got a valentine from Carolyn + 3 from Miss Schieber. I made 3 lace valentines for Carolyn, Bobby, and Dolores from lace valentine sets Miss Schieber gave me. Carolyn made valentine for Dolores from Miss Schieber's set. Carolyn came over and delivered them. I knitted 30 rows of brown. I didn't sleep much last night. I woke at 9:30 + at 12:00 + at 2:30 to 3:30 + at 6:00 a.m. at last. Mother slept downstairs and waited on me. My back ached awfully. I slept 2 hrs in the afternoon today.
