Guppie Died
March 5 Thursday 1942
Fair. I went to school. I worked on my box - it looks like this on 2 sides. [[image: 2 rows of 1 red, 1 yellow, etc.]] guppie died! Jean, who lives next door to Delores, came over to see me practice after school. I saw Delore's new house coat [[image: Big roses, daisies all over it. [[?]] blue]]

March 6 Friday 1942
I went to the Folger [[?]] classes left English [[?]] 1st three Shakespeare [[??]] art gallery
Fair. I went to school. I got a free bottle of Jergens hand lotion !!!! I have 4 bottles - 3 not used, I used a little!!!!+++ I have all the bottles I have sent for now. I took my piano lesson at 5:00 P.M. My box sides look like this (all now) [[image]] 
2 rows on side next to top all the way around now. I did the fringe on one end of my scarf!!![[image]] 8 tufts, 6 pieces of yarn (2 red, 2 brown + 2 yellow). Carolyn's mother showed me how - using a crochet hook. The fringe is about " long. 
MOther's got me a[[crossed-out] blu [[/crossed-out]] beautiful [[?]]scarlett skirt - no pleats today!!!!!! I have 3 skirts now in use
