DESKAIDE * THE SILENT SECRETARY * 1942

April 4 Saturday

Fair. I stayed home + played with Bobby + Joan + Bobby's sisters. They (Bobbie + 2 sisters, Ann (6) + Mary Ellen (4) have very cute Easter dresses. The 2
smaller ones are yellow satin + Bobby's is pinkish
purplish rose with white lace. Her mother made them all. Bobby had a hat + coat + white pumps too. I found the gold elephant pin Peggy Reinhart gave me for Christmas I last day after Christmas near front steps!

Transcription Notes:
I made changes to the transcription so that it was more readable, as per instructions. Laying out images and phrases to reflect how they fall on the page becomes very difficult to follow. I have added descriptions to relay the author's resourceful and comical use of space because they are just too precious to lose. I put spaces between entries to make it easier to read how she made the bureau, and to describe the apron.
