APRIL

TUESDAY

Fair. I went to school. After supper I went to [[strikethrough]] Dolores' & she showed me her dresses & we went to store & she got a 5ยข stick of Dentyne chewing gum (one thickness, 6 slabs) & gave me 2 slabs. The ban on selling bicycles was supposed to be raised today but Dad forgot to ask. A dealer told us - it may be that only defense workers can buy them but as it has not been publicized (to keep people from grabbing them right off) but I don't think so.

WEDNESDAY

Fair. I went to school. We were supposed to get our report cards last Friday but will get them this time instead (Fri.) I think I am going to get C or D on conduct because of the time a few days ago Mr. Frennis made me copy an article for talking in Social Science class (5th period) & the time Miss Givens (Algebra - 2nd period) got mad at me for passing at note to Babs (for short) Karr to get my purse from Barbara Banks who took it in 1st period (English).
