FRIDAY

Rainy + then fair + then cloudy. I went downtown by myself to practice with the chorus (of about 6 girls + 1 older boy) + then got 2 transfers taking me to mother, at the museum. We went to Kann's to find a birthday present for Mabel Colcord (my girl friend in Mass.) but couldn't find anything. We had a bite to eat + came home. A bottle of Jergens Hand Lotion (purse size, free) had come!! + I have 8 bottles now and 7 are unused. In the afternoon I get a few beetles + played with Dolores a little.

SATURDAY

Fair. I did housework all morning + changed the Bun-Bun's cage - it was very dirty. I let him loose in mother's bedroom a little to exercise + put him back. I put a box in his cage for a house instead of a bag. In the afternoon I played with Bobby. I went over to Dolores's house in the evening + she read me out of the West Point magazines. She is leaving with her grandfather for Penn. tomorrow on Mon. Oh yes - she came over in the afternoon too + we rode my bike, Coleman Brian/Billy's little brother) + I went after "Jap" beetles + got a lot. Singing recital tomorrow!!
