WEDNESDAY

Fair.  I went to singing lesson which began at 9:30 in morning.  After that I met mother at the museum + we went shopping.  I didn't get Mabel's present but I got myself ($1 out of my $2.90 - I have $1.90 left) a purse!!!!  Blue + black leather (dark - like aligator skin) with band at top + gold rim + handles + blue straps:

just what I wanted

+ 1 more pair of red sandals (like the ones I got before for next year.  Mother got shoes too.  I got 2 sets (1 for Bobby) of 25 cents [[cents symbol]] (12 brown ones a set) rubber curlers.

THURSDAY

Fair. I stayed home + worked in the morning + in afternoon Bobby + I went black-berrying.  I picked 2 qts.  Bobby picked 1 3/4 qts.  I sold 1 qt. + gave other to Bobby's father to take to fellow who works at his Esso (gasoline) station + will pay me tomorrow.  I have 20 cents [[cents symbol]] more - $2.30 now!   I made necklaces after that - 1 long blue one - 28" long.
