DESKAIDE * THE SILENT SECRETARY * 1942

SEPTEMBER 5
SATURDAY

Fair. We found the Bunny after a long search. Mother saw him hop out of pantry + I caught him there. Whew! I went to Clarendon with Bobby in the morning on our bikes. I got school supplies, 3 candles for 10¢ [[strikethrough]] etc. [[/strikethrough]], an ice cream, etc. I had $7.28 - $7.18 now. Then we rode home, I stopped at Dolores's. She will come over in the afternoon. She did. We made necklaces. (Bobby - yellow, me - pink, Dolores - blue - all candles not all the way through color). Then she left. In the evening I packed (we leave for beach tomorrow for a week at a cabin!!) + went to her house at 6:00 + got home at 8:00. Rode around (took turns, etc.
