DESKAIDE * THE SILENT SECRETARY * 1942

NOVEMBER 23
MONDAY

Fair in morning. I went to school. I found I had forgotten there was a talent show at beginning of 4th period so borrowed 30¢ from Doris Chichester (in my home room or section 162 + nice) & went - I was going with Rita & Carol (+ Swain) but forgot to meet them & went with Patty Birge ([[drawing]] I could hit myself) + it ended after school - raining so I rode streetcar with Betty Hedrick + a girl she knows to Rosslyn + other bus with them rest of way. Fun. Not much homework. After supper I went over to see Dolores. I got my allowance - 15¢ I had $3.35 + have $3.50 now!
