The Beatitudes proclaim the religion of Love.

Blessedness is higher than happiness.
Happiness comes from without and depends upon circumstances.
Blessedness is an inner fountain of joy in the soul itself.
Blessedness insists on holding the right relationships with God & so realizing the true law of a man's being.
Accommodating to Christ the blessed life can be enjoyed even by those who are unhappy.
