"Wickness compells God himself" An Oriental saying. 

IV Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. 

"Righteousness" is another Key Word of the Bible. 
It means not merely right conduct but right thinking on all subjects in every department of life. 

"Inherit the earth" means have power or dominion over our outer experience

Key words of the Bible

Earth = The whole of your outer experience
Meek = mental attitude
comforted - The experience of the Presence of God. 
righteousness = All round harmonious thinking . 
As we study the Sermon on the Mount we find every clause in it reiterating the great truth that outside things are but the expressions of our inner thoughts  and beliefs. 
That we have dominion or power over our thoughts to think as we will and indirectly to make or mar our lives by the way in which we think.
