Chinese Train at Air Depot
It's a long way from Toyshan, China, but these trainees at the Pennsylvania State School of Aeronautics, training branch of Middletown Air Depot, know their efforts will be felt there, where they all have relatives. None are eligible for the Army so they're training to be topnotch sheet metal craftsman for the Air Depot. Chin You Wah, 23, seated, was rejected because of a weak heart; Henry Hom, 19, left, four feet 11 1/2 inches tall, is a half inch too short for Uncle Sam; and Chin Bing Yuen, 17, top, has another year to go before induction. All live at Highspire Barracks. They will be at their school benches Sunday afternoon during the "Open House" celebration of the Air Service Command's second anniversary.
