The Chinese Influence
East and West meet this season in the realm of fashion. American designers in this country have borrowed freely from typical Chinese for the creation of some of the smartest gowns being worn this fall.
This similarity in style is here portrayed with pictures of Miss Lee Ya-Ching China's comely No. 1 aviatrix, and Miss Mary Elizabeth Matchneer, 141 N. Stanbery Rd. The picture of Miss Lee is a photograph of a page in Town & Country magazine.
Miss Lee, on a goodwill tour for United China Relief, will speak at the opening of the War Chest campaign Monday evening in Memorial hall. In the afternoon she will be honor guest at a tea given at the home of Mrs. Albert M. Miller by the local United China Relief committee, of which Miss Matchneer is a member.
