A judgement was obtained against Davis and execution issued, but owing to the Stay laws which was in force, the Sheriff could not collect the money, and also as to the collection of some $210. in gold and silver which one Terrill took from the house the day of her fathers death, and as she has married a white man desires to know if any legal action can be taken against either of them, and whether he cannot be protected in teaching a school for freedmen &c. | | Feby 8th 1869 #24 | Georgia J.R.
