March 29' Forwarded to the Hon Secretary of War. |

Acknowledges receipt of endorsement of 20th inst. and asks if he is to construe it as to forbid the employment of all the persons named in the paper.  States that Messrs. Wendall, Lurton, Chapman and Kohlhoss have been on duty since March 1st 1869. and asks authority to pay them.  See K 27.  March 29' Returned with authority to pay the clerks named within, who have been on duty for the month of March. |
